But can we just take a moment to think about Thomas??

He was John Smith’s bro, and he just wanted to be a good man and a good soldier, but he kept screwing up, falling overboard and missing his aim with a rifle, and everything was going wrong, but then something was suspicious and he wanted to look out for his buddy and his superior gave him a chance to make up for his mistakes so of course he agreed to follow John, and then something goes horribly wrong and he shoots a man because he thinks he’s protecting his friend and the woman his friend was intimate with, but it ended up getting so complicated and his friend took the blame for the situation and he raises a whole army to go get his friend back but then there’s a glimpse of peace and his superior goes crazy and winds up shooting the friend he spent so much trouble protecting, and he has to tell the woman his friend loves that he’ll die if he doesn’t go back home to be treated for the injury that he indirectly caused.

Thomas is going to sit around with so much guilt and pain and feelings about that trip to America. He left with a heroic best friend, sure, and he learned what it really meant to be a man, but he also was in the middle of a big battle and was arguably more emotionally invested in it than the other men.

Just….Thomas, baby, I got you.

You know Pocahontas. She has her mother’s spirit. She goes wherever the wind takes her.

SONG: UnknownJust Around the Riverbend
ARTIST: UnknownMegan Elizabeth
ALBUM: UnknownDisney's Pocahontas
PLAYED: 183 times

I look once more just around the riverbend, beyond the shore, somewhere past the sea. Don’t know what for. Why do all my dreams extend just around the riverbend?

More technological issues presented themselves…. so no new recording today. I did, however, convert the Pocahontas song to an audio recording, so there you are! (I posted it in video form very late last night in sing-along format, yeehaw.) Also, note, as posted with the video: at the end I was spooked by my cat so I sort of mispronounced “do” and it sounds like “ssssssdo” haha.

I’m running out of songs to record, so please give me any suggestions you can think of! :D

What I love most about rivers is you can’t step in the same river twice… the water’s always changing, always flowing.

A special gift to those of you up so very late at night — my next Disney recording! Done in video format so it doesn’t take up my audio post of the day…. and you can read along with the lyrics. Or sing along with my voice. Which is strange but hey I won’t judge.

Also, oops to “or sssdo you still”… my cat jumped off of my bed and spooked me.
